Hello Friends of New Heart,
As I mentioned last week during our worship service, our church governing board met Sunday to discuss the response of New Heart to our county’s return to purple status. As most of you know, that means churches are no longer allowed to meet indoors. I want to say thanks to all those who joined our meeting and offered your perspectives. After hearing from others, the board discussed the matter and voted to continue meeting indoors, and also have an outdoor service as well.
However, for various reasons, we will need to reverse the order of the services. The masks-optional, indoor service will now meet at 9:30am, followed by the outdoor, social distancing service at 11:00am. The online option will not change, live-streaming will remain at 9:30am.
One thing that will change is the music team. It will likely be scaled down for the time being, because some of our regular musicians are choosing to follow the guidelines and not meet indoors until we return to red status.
Friends, it's our goal to make meaningful worship opportunities available to as many as possible. Each person should assess their own health risks and follow their conscience about which of our three options are right for them. Whatever you decide, I want you to know I respect your choice, and I love you. Together, we can get through this as the body of Christ.
Peace and Grace,
Pastor Ron Creasman
